In accordance with the new measures to contain the covid-19 pandemic decreed by the Generalitat of Catalunya on Thursday, October 29th 2020, the Basilica of Santa Maria de la Seu is open following the next guidelines:
Tourist visits: every day following the usual schedule and limiting the capacity to 33% .
Guided tours: no open registration guided tours will be offered, but tours for bubble groups of up to 6 people will be available. To request a guided tour, you can contact us .
- Cultural events: all scheduled proposals are postponed until the health situation is optimal.
- Archive: will continue to be open on Fridays from 4pm to 8pm but only to people who have requested an appointment via email arxiu@seudemanresa.cat. Capacity is also limited to 33% .
In addition, the basilica has several hydroalcoholic ice dispensers, can only be accessed with a mask, the toilets are out of order, the doors of the enclosed spaces are always tight and visits and merchandising can be paid by credit card.
These measures will be in force at least for the next two weeks, as indicated by the Government.
