The Seu of Manresa reschedules the last conference of the “Cycle of Romanesque knowledge”
Josep M. Masnou will present the paper “The canonry of Manresa in the Middle Ages” on Friday 16 April at 6.30 pm in the Sala Gòtica.
The basilica is a place of worship and, at the same time, a great tourist attraction of Manresa and Catalonia. Built under the direction of Berenguer de Montagut, architect of Santa Maria del Mar of Barcelona and the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca, the Seu of Manresa is a gem of Catalan Gothic style.
*The Seu of Manresa is opened following all the measures of conteinment of the pandemic in order to guarantee the safety of the visitors, the workers and collaborators.
Conventual Mass: from Monday to Saturday al 10am.
Sunday at 11am.
Evening Mass: every day at 7pm (except July and August).
All sorts of religious celebrations can be held in the Seu: baptisms, communions, confirmations and weddings.
The parish offers ongoing adult education and also children’s catechesis.
There are many parish entities involved in the life of the basilica and many people envolved.
The Seu of Manresa is one of the most representative examples of Catalan Gothic, with elements of great patrimonial value, such as the Florentine Frontal or the Holy Spirit Altarpiece.
Concerts, presentations, trainings, special visits, news … follow the daily life of the basilica!
