Basilica Santa Maria de la Seu is an active place of worship. The usual timetables for masses and celebrations can be consulted here.

Below are the dates on which there are variations in the usual timetables. November and December 2022 and January 2023 will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 1, All Saints Day:
    • Mass will not be celebrated at the Seu.
    • 11 am: Mass at Sant Andreu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at the Municipal Cemetery with the accompaniment of the Seu Music Chapel.
  • Wednesday November 2, Faithful Deceased:
    • 10 am: Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Sant Andreu.
    • 4 pm: Mass at Municipal Cemetery.
    • 7 pm: Mass at the Seu.
  • From November 27 to December 7: Novena de la Puríssima. The 7 pm Masses at the Seu on the 27th and 7th are held in the crypt of the basilica and the 28th to 6th Masses are held in the Favets Chapel.
  • Wednesday December 7:
    • 10 am: Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Sant Andreu.
    • 7 pm: Early Mass at the Seu.
    • 8 pm: Early Mass at Carme.
  • Thursday, December 8, La Puríssima:
    • 11 am: Solemn Mass at the Seu. The Seu Music Chapel sings.
    • 7 pm: Mass at the Seu.
    • The rest of the masses are cancelled.
  • Saturday 10 December: Advent retreat for the Seu and Carmel parishes, open to everyone, in the Cave of Saint Ignatius.
  • Tuesday, December 13, Saint Lucy:
    • 11 am: Eucharist in honor of the saint.
    • Throughout the day there will be the traditional offering of candles to Saint Lucy.
    • 7 pm: Mass at the Seu.
    • The rest of the Masses are cancelled.
  • Saturday December 24:
    • 10 am: Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Sant Andreu.
    • Midnight: Mass of “El Gall” at the Seu. This mass is unified (Seu+Carme).
  • Sunday December 25, Christmas:
    • 11 am: Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Carme.
    • The rest of the Masses are cancelled.
  • Saturday December 31:
    • 10 am: Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Sant Andreu.
    • 8 pm: Early mass at Carme.
    • 9 pm: Mass of thanksgiving at the Seu, followed by an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament open to all.
  • Sunday January 1, New Year’s Eve:
    • 10 am: Mass in Sant Andreu.
    • 11 am: Conventual Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Carme.
    • There is no mass at 7 pm at the Seu.
  • Thursday, January 5:
    • 10 am: Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass in Sant Andreu.
    • There are no Early Masses at 7 pm or at 8 pm.
  • Friday January 6, Epiphany:
    • 10 am: Mass in Sant Andreu.
    • 11 am: Conventual Mass at the Seu.
    • 12 pm: Mass at Carme.
    • 7 pm: Mass at the Seu.
